JOOP & C++ Report Articles

The JOOP (Journal of Object Oriented Programming) and the C++ Report used to be two very nice (albeit a little expensive) journals, but they folded up a few years ago. I've recently found that a selection of papers has been made available online. Although they probably didn't choose the most interesting articles ever, it's still a good thing.

Speaking of C++, I've been helping one of my clients optimizing some code recently, and although most of what we have done is really context-dependent, I probably have a few interesting ideas to share. Especially because this is not one of the lucky cases (80% of the time spent in 20% of the code). It's more like a "distributed overhead", which is harder to tackle. More on this stuff later on, I hope.
